The Marche is also known the world over for its furniture, especially the province of Pesaro, where many carpentry shops have developed over time into cuttingedge furniture production industries. The restoration of furniture is another art form Marchigians excel in, especially around the areas of Pollenza, Amandola, Fermo, Corinaldo and Ostra Ostra is considered one of the most important centres of antiques and furniture restoration.

Proof of this can be found in the fact that they have opened a school for the restoration of antique furniture, specializing in wood and iron.

The town of Sarnano, like Pollenza, is known for its reproduction of antique furniture and old paintings, as well as their restoration. A market of national importance is held here in summer and is well worth a visit.

Pollenza distinguishes itself not only by its great workmanship in terms of restoration and antiques, but also by its reproduction of antique furniture and paintings.

The small town is where they also made ceramics, popularly known as cocce, or earthenware.

Every summer,in the centre of town, their antiques, restored pieces and reproductions are featured in a fair to which thousands flock. Visitors can then also visit the many workshops, antiques shops and collectors.

Antiques fairs are also held in Fermo, Fano, Pesaro, Urbino, Ancona, Recanati, Sassoferrato, Tolentino, Ascoli Piceno, Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto.
